All kids deserve a second chance.

Investing in futures. Expanding opportunities.

We operate two schools in New Orleans at the youth detention facility and adult jail.  Our schools focus on making learning relevant and engaging.

We partner with juvenile justice agencies and their education partners to significantly improve the quality of educational programming in secure facilities around the country.

At CEEAS, we directly operate educational programs for system-involved youth and support efforts around the country to improve education in youth and adult correctional settings.

We believe we can offer realistic, informed advice to others by both operating programs and supporting others who do so.  In New Orleans, we run the Travis Hill School and the Welcoming Project. Through our work with the Consortium, we provide technical assistance and facilitate peer sharing focused on improving education inside of correctional facilities.

Our work in New Orleans enables us to offer advice that is grounded in the reality of our day-to-day work. Likewise, we are able to incorporate best practices from consortium members into our work in New Orleans. This process creates a flywheel effect that encourages innovation and sharing and enables us to positively impact education in youth and adult correctional facilities nationally, even as a small nonprofit.

We're making a difference
